32. (1) The Factories and Industrial Undertakings Ordinance is amended---

(a) in section 201) in the definition of "industrial undertaking" by

deleting paragraph (4) and substituting the following—

"(h) the transport of passengers or goods by road, rail, cable-

way or aerial ropeway."" and

(8) in item 2 of the Third Schedule by inserting after "cableway"

the following—

", aerial ropeway”.

(2) Section 2(1) of the Buildings Ordinance is amended in the defini- tion of "building" by deleting "or workshop" and substituting the following-

"workshop or tower, pylon or other similar structure supporting an aerial ropeway".

44A. (1) Where the Director considers that it is expedient that a goods lift to which this section applies should-

(a) comply with the provisions of the Factories and Industrial Undertakings Ordinance relating to goods lifts in industrial undertakings; and

(6) be exempt from the provisions of this Ordinance, he may serve on the owner of the lift a notice in writing exempting thal lift from the provisions of this Ordinance.
