An Ordinance to amend the Prevention of Bribery Ordinance.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and conscat
of the Legislative Council thereof.
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Prevention of Bribery (Amend- Short title. ment) Ordinance 1976.
1 Section 14A of the principal Ordinance is amended by deleting Amendment of subsection (2) and substitoting the following-

"(2) A notice under subsection (1)—–
(a) may be served by delivering it personally to the person to whom it is addressed or muy, where the District Court is satisfied that such person cannot be found or is out in Hong Kong, be served in such other manner as the District Court may direct on application ex parte by or on behalf of the Commissioner;
(b) shall have effect from the time of service and shall continue
in force for a period of 12 months or until cancelled by the Commissioner whichever is the earlier.",
