An Ordinance to amend the Independent Commission Against Corruption

Ordinance.

[9th April, 1976]

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent

of the Legislative Council thereof.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Independent Commission Shon dde. Against Corruption (Amendment) Ordinance 1976.

2. Section 10 of the principal Ordinance is repealed and replaced by Repeal kod

10. (1) An officer authorized in that behalf by the (Cap. 204) Commissioner may without warrant arrest a person if he reasonably suspects that such person is guilty of an offence under this Ordinance or the Prevention of Bribery Ordin- ance or the Corrupt and illegal Practices Ordinance.

(2) Where, during an investigation by the Commis sion of a suspected offence under the Prevention pl Bribery Ordinance, another offence is disclosed, any such officer may without warrant arrest a person if he reason- ably suspects that such person is guilty of that other offence and-

(a) be reasonably suspects that such other offence was connected with, or that either directly or indirectly its commission was facilitated by, the suspected offence under the Prevention of Bribery Ordinance; or
