An Ordinance to amend the Bankruptcy Ordinance.

(9th January, 1976]

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent

of the Legislative Council thereof.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Bankruptcy (Amendment) Short title Ordinance 1976.

The principal Ordinance is amended by adding after section 19. Addition of the following new section-

19A, (1) Notwithstanding section 19 the court may, an the application of the Official Receiver, make an order dispensing with the public examination of the debror,

(2) Before making an application under subsection (1) the Official Receiver shall-

(a) publish notice of his intention to make the applica

tion in the Gazette, and

(b) give notice of his intention to make the application

to every creditor who has tendered a proof.
