An Ordinance to amend the Companies Ordinance.

(23rd January, 1976)

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent

of the Legislative Council thereof.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Companies (Amendment) Ston de. Ordinance 1976.

1. Section 2 of the principal Ordinance is amended by inserting after Amendment of subsection (7) the following new subsection –

mection 2.

"(8) In subsections (4), (5), (6) and (7) the expression "company** includes any body corporate or corporation.".

Section 22 of the principal Ordinance is amended in subsection Amrudiment of

(1) by deleting "Governor" and substituting the following-

"Registrar".

Part I of the Eighth Schedule to the principal Ordinance is Amendment of amended by inserting below paragraph (6) the following new paragraph- Elebth Schedule,

"(b) in the case of a company having on the 1st day of June,

1955 a cominal share capital in excess of $3,000,000, for every $1,000 or part of $1,000 of such excess nominal share capital as remains unissued
