shall be exempt from the provisions oI BPCLKIDS 2, 3 10 42, 13 and 16.

(2) A company entitled to exemption under subsection (1) shall deposit with the Registrar a signed copy of every audited return, statement and other document deposited by it with the Secretary of State pursuant to the Insurance Companies Act 1974, and duly signed as required by the Act, within 12 months after the close of the financial year to which the audited return, statement and other documen relates.

(2A)_A_company shall cease to be exempt under sub. section (1) if...--

(4) in the case of a company to which subsection (Mo) applies, it ceases to comply with the Insur- ance Companies Act 1974; "or

(5) in the case of a company to which subsection

(((6) applies-

(i) it ceases to be authorized to carry on in Great Britain the business of life insurance under the Insurance Companies Act 1974; or

() it fails to deposit with the Secretary of State audited returns of its business, with respect to any financial year of the company, within 12 months' after the close of that financial year; or

(c) it fails to comply with subsection (2).

(28) Subsection (1) shall not apply to a company that

has been required by the Secretary of State to restrict its

An Ordinance to constitute a Judicial Service Commission,

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and cousent

of the Legislative Council thereof.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Judicial Service Commission stan doe and Ordinance 1975 and shall come into operation on a day to be appointed commencement. by the Governor by notice in the Gazette.

2. In this Ordinance, unless the context otherwise requires-

"Commission" means the Judicial Service Commission established by this

Ordinance:

"judicial office" means any judicial office specified in the First Schedule; First Schedule. "judicial officer" means the holder of a judicial office.

3, (1) There is bereby established a Judicial Service Commission, Judicial Service which shall consist of-

(a) the Chief Justice, who shall be the Chairman;
