(4) Every person who is appromiseuL MINIST employed as a contractor in respect of construction works shall intona the Authority in writing of that fact before the commencement of the works.

(5) Any person who fails to comply with subsection (2), (3) or (4) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine of $2,000.

35, (1) Any person who is knowingly concerned in, or in the taking of steps with a view to, the fraudulent evasion of the payment of a levy, whether due from him or from any other person, shall be guilty of au offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine of $10,000 or 3 times the amount of levy that was or was intended to be evaded by bis conduct, whichever is the greater,

(2) Any person who....

(a) with intent to deceive, produces, supplies or sends for the purposte of this Ordinance or otherwise makes use for those purposes of any document or record which is false in a material particular; or (b) in providing any information for the purposes of this Ordinance. makes any "statcment which he knows to be false in a material particular or recklessly makes a statement which is false in a material particular,

shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine of $5,000 or 3 times the amount of any levy that was or was intended to be evaded by his conduct, whichever is the greater.

An Ordinance to establish the Clothing Industry Training Authority; to provide for facilities for the training of persons employed in the clothing industry and for a levy to be paid by exporters of clothing items.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof.

PART I

PRELIMINARY

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Industrial Training (Clothing Stom die and Industry) Ordinance 1975 and shall come into operation on a day to be concocemcal. appointed by the Governor by notice in the Gozené.

2. In this Ordinance, unless the context otherwise requires- "A.T.A, Carriel" diraus à document-

(a) in the form set out in the annex to the Customs Convention on the A.T.A. Carnet for the temporary admission of goods (other- wise known as the A.T.A. Convention) agreed at Brussels on 6th December 1961; or

(b) in such other form as may from time to time be provided by any amendment to the A.TA. Convention, no long as the United Kingdom adheres to it:
