An Ordinance to amend the Betting Duty Ordinance.
[9th May, 1975)
Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent
of the Legislative Council thereof.
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Betting Dory (Amendment) Shore tide. Ordinance 1975.
2. Section 6 of the principal Ordinance is repeated and replaced Repeal and by the following-

and cash-sweep
replaceted at section 6.
6. (1) On every bet made on any totalisator or Cap. 1080 pari-mutuel authorized by this Ordinance, there shall be charged a duty--
(a) in the case of a win bet, a place bet, a double ber, a quinella bet and a forecast bet, at the rate of 74
per cent of the amount of every such bet; and
(8) in the case of any other form of bet, at the rate
of 11 per cent of the amount of every such bet. (2) On every cash-sweep ticket sold and on every cash- sweep chance allocated by list as provided in section 4 there shall be charged a duty at the rate of 25 per cent on the amount paid, contributed or subscribed. ̈
