An Ordinance to amend the Interpretation and General Clauses
Ordinance.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Interpretation and Short title. General Clauses (Amendment) Ordinance 1975.
2. Section 10 of the principal Ordinance is repealed and Repeal and replaced by the following-
"References to pounds sterling.

10. The amount of Hong Kong dollars equivalent 10. to an amount of pounds sterling referred to in any law shall be calculated at the merchant selling rate of the Hong Kong Exchange Banks Association at the close of business on the relevant day.”.
