(2) The Director of Marine may make rules prescribing or providing for-

(a) classes of officers and seamen for the purposes of

subsection (1):

(b) the standards of competency to be attained and other conditions to be satisfied (subject to any except tions allowed by or under the rules) by candidates for any examination conducted under subsection (1): (c) the procedure for and the method of conducting any

such examinations;

(d) the subjects to be taken at any such examination or the manner in which those subjects are to be specified;

(e) fees and forms in relation to any such examination;

and

( the method of granting certificates of competency

and copies of such certificates.

(3) The Director may publish any rules made under sub- section (2) in such manner as he thinks fit, and shall, payment of the appropriate charge, provide a copy of the rules to any person who applies to bim in that behalf.".

Section 68 of the principal Ordinance is repealed and replacement replaced by the following-

68. (1) A master or other person in charge of a vessel, including a ship of war, shall not-

(a) anchor or permit the anchoring of the vessel within any fairway set apart by the Director for the passage of vessels; or

(b) cause the vessel to obstract any such fair.

(2) Any master or other person in charge of a vessel who contravenes subsection (1) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable ou conviction to a fine of $5,000.".

Section 94 of the principal Ordinance is amended in sub- Amendment section (1) by deleting paragraph (d) and substituting the follow of section Log-

Section 97 of the principal Ordinance is amended in Amendment subsection (1) by deleting paragraph (d).
