(9) Subsection (7) shall not apply if the tenant has paid, or agreed to pay, a fine, premium or other consideration (other than rent) in order to obtain his lease,

(10) In this section "competent authority" means a competent authority under the Resettlement Ordinance.

Amendment

Spotion 12(5) is amended by deleting paragraphs (0) and (b) and substituting the following-

(a) the Housing Authority in the case of any premises or part of any premises upon land vested in the Housing Authority or OVCI which the Housing Authority has control and management:"*.

1. Section (1) is amended by inserting, before "public officer". the following—

"person or".

2. The Ordinance is amended by adding, after section 18, the following new section--

*Dekesho.

IBA. An Authority under this Ordio- anos may delegate any of its powers and functions to any public officer or class of public officer.",

3. The First Schedule to the Ordinance amended-

(a) In the definition of "railway land" by inserting.

after "Railway", the following-

"and "Housing Authority estate" means land vested in the Housing Authority or over which the Housing Authority has control and management";

(6) in the third colume by inserting after "except for railway land" wherever it occurs, the following

"and Housing Authority estates";

(e) by deleting “Commissioner for Resettlement" wherever it pecure and substituting in each place the following—

"The Housing Authority".
