The principal Ordinance is amended by adding, after section 42, the following new sections-
"Public swimming pools.
Fourteenth Schedule
Management of public swimming pools.
42A. (1) The Governor may, by order pub. lished in the Gazette, designate any premises and the grounds appurtenant thereto as a public swim- ming pool.
(2) The swimming pools specified in the Four- teenth Schedule shall be deemed to have been designated as public swimming pools.
(3) The Governor may, by order published ia the Gazette, amend, add to or delete from, the Fourteenth Schedule,
42B. The management and control of every public swimming pool shall be vested in the Authority.".
4. The principal Ordinance is amended by adding, after section 76, the following new sections-
"Public slaughter- houses.
Management
of public slaughter- houses.

76A. (1) The Governor may, by order pub. lished in the Gazette, designate any premises as a public slaughterhouse.
(2) The abattoirs specified in the First Schedule to the Abattoirs By-laws shall be deemed to bave been designated as public slaughterhouses.
768. The management and control of every public slaughterhouse shall be vested in the
Authority.".
Section 79 of the principal Ordinance is amended by deleting subsection (3) and substituting the following—
(3) The Governor may, by order published in the Gazette, designate as a public market any market to which the Ordinance applies.
(4) The markets specified in the Tenth Schedule shall be deemed to have been designated as public markets.
(5) The Governor may, by order published in the Gazette, amend, add to, or delete from, the Tenth Schedule.". 6. The principal Ordinance is amended by adding, after section 79, the following new section-

7. The principal Ordinance is amended by adding, after section 92, the following new Part--
Offences.
**PART VILA
LICENSING OF CERTAIN ACTIVITIES
92A. No person shall conduct or open or keep open any place for the purpose of any activity specified in the Eleventh Schedule except under and in accordance with a licence issued by the Authority.
928. The Authority may make regulations for any of the following matters---
(a) the regulation and control of any activity or place in which any such activity specified in the Eleventh Schedule may be conducted; (b) classifying for the purposes of paragraph (a) any place or activity for which a licence may be issued;
(
(c) the particulars which an applicant for any licence granted under this Part shall furnish; the form and conditions of any licence granted under this Part, the feca therefor, the hours during which the activity licensed may be conducted and the period for which such licence shall be issued;
(e) the lighting to be used in any place licensed under this Part and the general specifications and requirements to be satisfied in respect of such lighting, or to empower any specified officer to determine, at the time of the issue or renewal of any licence, the particular specifications and requirements to be satisfied in respect of such lighting in the place to which the licence relates:
( precautions to be taken against fire in any
place licensed under this Part:
(g) maintenance of peace and good order in
any place licensed under this Part:
(4) means of securing hygienic conditions and requiring the maintenance of such condi- tions in any place licensed under this Part; (4) entry and inspection of any place licensed under this Part by any officer authorized by the Authority in that behalf.
92C. Any person who-
(a) fails to comply with any condition in a
licence; or
