An Ordinance to repeal and replace the Rating Ordinance.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.

PART I

PRELIMINAR Y

This Ordinance may be cited as the Rating Ordinance 1973, and shall come into operation on the 1st day of April 1973.

Short title and COMMERCEment.

2. In this Ordinance, unless the context otherwise requires- Interpretation. "Collector of Rales" means the Accountant General;

"Commissioner" means the Commissioner of Rating and Valua-

tion appointed under section 4;

"court" means the District Court;

"deletion" means a deletion from a valuation list under section 24; "exempled" means exempted from assessment to rates by virtue

of section 36:
