(3) The common law offence of arson is abolished.
(4) No repeal or amendment by this section of any enact- ment relating to procedure or to the jurisdiction or powers of any court shall affect the operation of that enactment in relation to offences committed before the repeal or amendment takes effect or to the proceedings for any such offence.

73, (1) Where a person is compensation. Convicted of an offence, the court may, in addition to pa59- ing such senience as may otherwise by law be passed or making an order under section 107(1), order the person so CON- victed to pay to any aggrieved person
such compensation for-
(a) personal injury; (6) loss of or damage to
property; or
(c) both such injury and
loss or damage,
as it thinks reasonable.
