An Ordinance to amend the Rent Increases (Domestic Premises)

Control Ordinance.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Rent Increases (Domestic Premises) Control (Amendment) Ordinance 1972.

2. Section 6 of the principal Ordinance is amended by deleting subsection (4) and substituting the following-

"(4) Notwithstanding the expiration of this Ordinance under section 24 this section together with section 7 shali continue to apply to any tenancy or sub-tenancy the rent of which is increased—–

(a) under section 9 or section 11, for a period of two

years from the date of such increase:

(b) under section 14A or 14B, for a period of one year

from the date of such increase.".
