FUGITIVE OFFENDERS (DESIGNATED COMMONWEALTH COUNTRIES) (AMENDMENT)

ORDER 1971.

In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 2(1) and 20 of the Fugitive Offenders Act 1967 (as modified and adapted by the Fugitive Offenders (Hong Kong) Order 1967), the Acting Governor, with the approval of the Secretary of State, has made the following order-

L This order may be cited as the Fugitive Offenders (Designated Commonwealth Countries) (Amendment) Order 1971.

2. The Schedule to the principal order is amended by inserting, after "Mauritius", the following-

"Nauru".

Explanatory Note.

(This Note is not puer of the order, but is intended fa indicate its general purport).

This order amends the Schedule to the Fugitive Offenders (Designated

Commonwealth Countries) Order by including a reference to Nauru, which

is now an independent country within the Commonwealth.
