(9) (a) 10 years approved teaching experience and one or more Hong Koog Certificates of Education with an aggregate of 5 separate subjects at Grade E or a higher grade, including-

(1) English Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education (English), or of a standard which in the opinion of the Director is equivalent to Grade E or a higher grade in that Certificate; or

(ii) Chinese Language:

(5) 10 years approved teaching experience and one or more Hong Kong Certificates of Education with an aggregate of 4 separate subjects, 2 of which are at Grade C or a higher grade and the other 2 of which are at Grade E or a higher grade, including- (i) English Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education (English), or of a standard which in the opinion of the Director is equivalent to Grade E or a higher grade în that Certificate: or

(i) Chinese Language:

(c) 10 years approved teaching experience and any educational train- log which in the opinion of the Director is equivalent to the other qualifications specified in sub-paragraph (4) or (b); or

(d) 10 years approved teaching experience and a Hong Kong English School Certificate, à Hong Kong Chinese School Certificate, or a Hong Kong School Certificate.

For the purposes of this Part-

"approved" means approved by the Directort

(b) a subject is not separate from another subject by reason only that instruction in the first subject is given in a different language

to that in which instruction in the second subject is given.

(2) a pass in English Language in the Hong Kong English School Certifi- cate, the Hong Kong Chinese School Certificate, or the Hong Kong School Certificate; or

(3) a knowledge of English of a standard which in the opinion of the Director is equivalent to Grade E in English Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education (English),
