(g) the amount charged for work done by each manufactur- ing establishment during the relevant period, including-

(i) all receipts for work done, or services of an industrial nature rendered, by the manufacturing estab- lishment, such as contract or commission work done on a customer's materials, including materials supplied by the manufacturing establishment and used in such work; and

(ii) any amounts charged for repair work done by the manufacturing establishment;

(h) the total value of the amount of net sales made, and the amount charged for work done, by each manufactur- ing establishment during the relevant period;

( the estimated value of sales made, and work done, by each manufacturing establishment during the relevant period for the purpose of export of goods from Hong Kong, including sales to local exporters;

(j) the estimated value of sales made, and work done, by cach manufacturing establishment during the relevant period for the purpose of local consumption in Hong Kong, including sales to local manufacturers;

(k) the estimated total value of sales made, and work done, by cach manufacturing establishment during the relevant period for the purpose of export of goods from Hong Kong and for the purpose of local consumption in Hong Kong, including both sales to local exporters and sales to local manufacturers;

(/) the principal products manufactured or sold by cach manufacturing establishment during the relevant period;

and

(w) the approximate percentage of the estimated total value referred to in sub-paragraph (k) which is represented by the sales made, or work done, by each manufacturing establishment during the relevant period in connexion with the manufacture or sale of the products referred to in sub-paragraph (1).

5. All completed forms and returns collected or received by the census officers in connexion with this census and all copies thereof shall be destroyed by fire not later than the 31st December 1972.

Explanatory Note.

(This Note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate is general purport),

The order empowers a census of manufacturing establishments in Hong Kong to be taken during the period from the 26th July 1971 to the 29th August 1971, inclusive.

In view of the technical nature of the proposed census the topics to be covered by it are set out in detail in paragraph 4 of the order.
