For the purposes of this Part of the Schedule-
"1 day" means the period in any one day from nine o'clock in the morning to four o'clock in the afternoon or any part of such period other than a period of † day; and
"day" means the period in any one day--
(4) from eight o'clock in the morning to twelve noon; or

(8) from two o'clock in the afternoon to six o'clock in the evening. or any part of any such period.

Explanatory Note.
(This Note is not part of the regulations, bur is intended to indicate their general purport).
The purpose of these regulations is to provide for the management and control of public pleasure grounds in the New Territories in a similar manner to that by which the Pleasure Grounds By-laws provide for the management and control of public pleasure grounds in Hong Kong outside of the New Territories.

ROAD TRAFFIC ORDINANCE. (Chapter 220).
ROAD TRAFFIC (REGISTRATION AND LICENSING OF VEHICLES) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 1971.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 of the Road Traffic Ordinance, the Governor in Council has made the following regulations
1. These regulations may be cited as the Road Traffic (Registration and Licensing of Vehicles) (Amendment) Regulations 1971.
2. Regulation 8 of the principal regulations is revoked and replaced by the following-
"Register of motor vehicles and evidence of entrics.

8. (1) The Commissioner shall maintain a register of motor vehicles which shall consist of documents containing the several particulars specified in the First Schedule.
(2) The Commissioner shall, on payment of a fee of ten dollars, supply to any person making application for any particulars in the register in respect of a motor vehicle a certificate, stating such particulars.
(3) In any proceedings under any Ordinance, a certificate purporting to be signed by or for the Commissioner and stating any particulars in the register in respect of a motor vehicle shall be admitted in evidence without further proof and-
(a) until the contrary is proved, it shall be
presumed that the certificate is so signed: (b) the certificate shall be prima facie evidence
of the facts stated therein.".
3. Regulation 14 of the principal regulations is amended, in paragraph (2), by deleting "note" and substituting the following-
