lp exercise of the powers conferred by section 1 of the Law Reform (Miscellaneous Amendments) Ordinance 1970, the Acting Governor has made the following notice-

L. This notice may be cited as the Law Reform (Miscel- laneous Amendments) Ordinance 1970 (Commencement) Notice 1971.

1. In item 1 of the Schedule to the Law Reform (Miscel- laneous Amendments) Ordinance 1970, amendment 3 to the Supreme Court Ordinance (which provides for the addition of a now section 38A thereto) shall come into operation on the 1st day of July 1971.

Commence. ment of part of item 1 of Schedule.

Explanatory Note,

(This Note is not part of the notice, bur is intended to indicate tur general purport).

This notice brings into operation on 1st July 1971 the new section

38A of the Supreme Court Ordinance, which enables rules of court to be

made authorizing orders for interim payments of damages.
