Additional Instructions to Our Governor and Commander-in- Chief in and over Our Colany of Hong Kong and its Depend- encies or other Officer for the time being Administering the Government of Our said Colony and its Dependencies.
We do hereby direct and enjoin and declare Our will and pleasure as follows-
1. (1) These Instructions may be cited as the Hong Kong Additional Instructions 1970 and shell be construed as one with the Hong Kong Royal Instructions 1917 es amended (hereinafter called "the principal Instructions"),
(2) The Hong Kong Royal Instructions 1917 to 1969 and these Instructions may be cited together as the Hong Kong Royal Instructions 1917 to 1970.
(3) These Instructions shall come into effect on a date to be appointed by the Governor.
Clause III of the principal Instructions is amended by inserting after "from the exercise of his functions as a Member of the Council," the following-
"or whenever the seat of any such Member shall otherwise become vacant,”.
3. Clause XIII of the principal Instructions is amended by inserting after "Financial Secretary of the Colony" the following
who are bereinafter referred to as ex officio Members,”.
