An Ordinance to amend the Life Insurance Companies Ordinance.

[30th April, 1971.]

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Life Insurance Com- panies (Amendment) Ordinance 1971.

2. Section 22 of the principal Ordinance is amended by- (a) renumbering it as subsection (1); and

(6) adding after subsection (1) the following new sub-

"(2) Without prejudice to subsection (1) and subject to subsection (3), if the assets of a life insurance company registered under any Ordinance relating to the registration of companies are less than the aggregate amount of its liabilities and the amounts deposited by it under section 3, the court
