An Ordinance to amend the Jury Ordinance.
[12th February, 1971]
Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and
consent of the Legislative Council thereof.
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Jury (Amendment) Short dide, Ordinance 1971.
2. Section 5 of the principal Ordinance is amended by Amendment of inserting after paragraph (a) the following new paragraph→
"(a) ordinary members of the Urban Council;",
3. Section 7 of the principal Ordinance is amended by deleting paragraph (a) of subsection (3) and substituting the following
*(a) the name of every person whose name appeared on the last preceding list of common jurors other than the name of a person who the Commissioner has reason to believe to have died or left the Colony permanently; and".
