An Ordinance to establish the Pilotage Authority, to regulate and control pilotage in Hong Kong and to provide for matters connected therewith.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.

PART 1.

PRELIMINARY.

This Ordinance may be cited as the Pilotage Ordinance 1971, and shall come into operation on a day to be appointed by the Governor by notice in the Gazette.

2. In this Ordinance, unless the context otherwise requires-- "Authority" means the Pilotage Authority established under sec-

tion 3:

"board of investigation” means a board of investigation appointed

under section 19(1):

“Committee” means the Pilotage Advisory Committee established

under section 4;
