Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.

PART I

PRELIMINARY.

1. (1) This Ordinance may be cited as the Education Ordin- ance 1971.

(2) This Ordinance shall come into operation on a day to be appointed by the Governor by notice in the Gazerfe, and notices under this subsection may appoint different dates for different provisions of this Ordinance.

1 This Ordinance shall not apply to-

(a) the University of Hong Kong established by the Univer

sity of Hong Kong Ordinance;

(b) The Chinese University of Hong Kong established by The Chinese University of Hong Kong Ordinance;
