An Ordinance to amend the Fire Services Ordinance.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Fire Services (Amendment) Ordinance 1971 and shall come into operation on a day to be appointed by the Governor by notice in the Gazette.

1. The long title to the principal Ordinance is amended by inserting, after "welfare fund:", the following-

"and to regulate the registration of fire service installation contractors and to provide for the control of the sale, supply, installation, repair, maintenance and inspection of fire service installations or equipment;",

Short title and commencement.
