An Ordinance to amend the Magistrates Ordinance.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.

1.

This Ordinance may be cited as the Magistrates (Amend- ment) (No. 2) Ordinance 1970.

2. Section 8 of the principal Ordinance is amended- (a) by adding, after subsection (1), the following new sub-

section-

"(IA) Every such summons shall-

(4) be signed by the magistrate by whom it is

issued: or

(b) bear a facsimile signature of the magistrate stamped thereon by an officer of a magis- trate's court who is authorized in writing for that purpose by a magistrate.";
