An Ordinance to amend the Sand Ordinance.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Sand (Amendment) Ordinance 1970.

2. The principal Ordinance is amended by adding after section 1 the following new section--

"Applica tion of Ordinance.

1A. This Ordinance shall not apply to sand which is produced by any quarrying operation or by the washing of other material so as to produce sand.”.

3. The principal Ordinance is amended by deleting the words "Director of Government Supplies" wherever they occur and substituting therefor the following—

"Director of Public Works".
