An Ordinance to amend further the Urban Council Ordinance.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof,
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Urban Council (Amendment) Ordinance 1970.
2. Section 11 of the principal Ordinance is repealed and replaced by the following-
"Resigna
Lian of a member,
11. (1) An ordinary member may at any time resign his office by giving notice in writing under his hand to the Chairman.
(2) A notice of resignation given under sub- section (1) shall take effect-
(a) upon the date specified in the notice, which date shall not be earlier than the date of the receipt of the notice by the Chairman; or
