An Ordinance to amend further the Public Transport Services

(Hong Kong Island) Ordinance.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and

consent of the Legislative Council thereof.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Public Transport Short title, Services (Hong Kong Island) (Amendment) Ordinance 1970.

2. Section 8 of the principal Ordinance is amended by adding at the end thereof the following-

"(3) The Legislative Council may, by resolution, amend the rate of royalty specified in subsection (1), or amend that rate for any accounting year of the Company; and any reso lution under this subsection may have retrospective effect to the commencement of the accounting year of the Com- pany in which the resolution is passed:

Provided that the rate of royalty for the accounting year of the Company commencing on the 1st July 1969 shall be twenty per cent.".
