An Ordinance 10 amend further the District Court Ordinance.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the District Court (Amendment) Ordinance 1970,

2. Section 8 of the principal Ordinance is amended by deleting subsection (4).

3. The principal Ordinance is amended by adding, after section 8, the following new sections---

cases of roagistrate.

"Juriediction BA. Where a magistrate is appointed to be a in part-heard judge or a temporary judge he may, notwithstanding such appointment, exercise and discharge all such appointed to jurisdiction, powers, authorities and duties as were prior to such appointment vested in him as a magis- trate, but in relation only to any proceedings which
