28. The principal regulations are amended by adding, after regulation 69, the following new regulation—
"Colour and
69A. (1) On every light bus there shall be markings of permanently inscribed- light buses.
(a) on the outside, on both the near and off sides of the vehicle, in English and in Chinese characters, in clearly legible letters, figures and characters not less than four inches in height and of uniform size, the number of passengers for whom seats are provided and which may lawfully be carried in the vehicle; and
(b) on the outside, on the near side of the vehicle, in English and in Chinese characters, in clearly legible letters, figures and charac- tera not less than one inch in height and of uniform size, the name and address of the owner of the vehicle.
(2) Without prejudice to paragraph (1), on every public light bus there shall also be permanently inscribed
(a) on the outside, on both the near and off sides of the vehicle, in block letters and block Chinese characters not less than four inches in height and of uniform size--
() in English the words "Public Light Bus"; and
(ii) the characters "2#1B4"; and
(6) on the inside, in a conspicuous position in English and in Chinese in clearly legible letters and characters not less than one inch in height and of uniform size-
(1) the registered number of the vehicle; and
(ii) the name and address of the owner of the vehicle.
(3) The exterior of every public light bus and every private light bus shall-
(a) be painted-
(with such colours or combination of colours:
(i) in accordance with such colour scheme,

as the Commissioner may prescribe by notice in the Gazette, or as may be specified in any conditions subject to which a motor vehicle licence has been issued in respect of the vebicle:
(b) bear or display only such colours markings,
signs, words, figures and characters as-
(i) are required under these regulations, any other enactment or any conditions sub- ject to which a motor vehicle licence has been issued in respect of the vehicle, to be so borne or displayed: or
(ii) the Commissioner may in any case in writing permit
(4) No person shall drive or use, or cause or permit to be driven or used, a motor vehicle, other than a public light bus, which bears markings or is painted with such colours or combinations of colours or with any colour scheme which would tend or be likely to lead a person to believe that the vehicle was a public light bus.".
29. Regulation 70 of the principal regulations is revoked and replaced by the following-
"Interior lighting.

70. Adequate artificial lighting shall be provided for the illumination-
(a) of every deck of an omnibus; and (b) of the interior of every light bus.”.
Regulation 71 of the principal regulations is amended-
(a) by deleting paragraph (1) and substituting the following-
"(1) Every omnibus and light bus shall be-
(a) so designed that the driver has adequate room and can casily reach and quickly operate the controls;
(b) so constructed and maintained that the accommodation for the driver is weather- proof; and
(c) provided with means to prevent light from the interior of the vehicle from incommod- ing the driver.":
(b) by deleting paragraph (2):
