EMERGENCY (PRINCIPAL) (AMENDMENT) (NO. 2) REGULATIONS 1969.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 2 of the Emergency Regulations Ordinance, the Governor in Council has made the following regulations---
1.
These regulations may be cited as the Emergency (Principal) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 1969.
2. Regulation 119A of the principal regulations is amended by inserting the following new paragraph after paragraph (3)—
"(4) If any person is charged with an offence under this regulation in connexion with a simulated bomb which is found in any place which is not a public place, it shall be defence for such person to show that the abjøet Wäs not intended for Lendas for use as a simulated bomb.".

Paragraph 4 of the order discontinues the operation of the twenty-five Emergency (Principal) Regulations which are listed in the Schedule. Paragraphs 2 and 3 make necessary consequential amendments.

Explanatory Note.
(This Mote is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general purport).
The effect of these regulations is to insert into regulation 119A of the principal regulations a provision which affords a defence to a person charged with an offence in connexion with a simulated bomb. The pro- vision was contained in regulation (19E which is being repealed in con- sequence of the repeal of regulation ||9D.
