These rules amend the principal rules for the purposes of the Evidence (Amendment) Ordinance 1969. They are based on Order 20, role 7A of the English County Court Rules 1936, is added by rule 3 of the County Court (Amendment) Rules 1970 (5.1. 1970 No. 30)

Rule 2 adds a new rule 35A to the principal rules specifying the particulars to be included in a pleading where it is intended to put in

evidence (by virtue of sectlan 38K or 391. of the Evidence Ordinance) a previous conviction or finding of adultery,
