Amendment of regulation 26.

General amendment of principal regulations.

4. Regulation 18 of the principal regulations is amended in paragraph (1) by-

(a) deleting "or transport"; and

(b) inserting after "substance" the following~

"in powder, paste, gas or vapour form".

5. Regulation 26 of the principal regulations is amended in paragraph (1) by inserting the following after "substance" in the first place where it occurs-

"in liquid form”.

The principal regulations are amended by-

(a) deleting "summary" wherever it occurs in the following

Part VII of the principal regulations is revoked.

Explanatory Note.

(This Note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate theft general purport).

These regulations make further provision for Hoences in respect of radioactive substances and make some minor technical amendments sug- gested by members of the Radiation Board,

Regulation 6(0) deletes from the principal regulations the word "summary", which is now superfluous because of the provisions of section 891) of the Interpretation and General Clauses Ordinance (Cap. !). Regulation 6(8) deletes from the principal regulations the word "regular", which has na impredse meaning. Regulation 7 revokes transitional provisions which have had their effect.
