INTERPRETATION AND GENERAL CLAUSES

ORDINANCE.

(Chapter 1).

CHARITIES (LAND ACQUISITION) ORDINANCE. (Chapter 305).

WHEREAS

(i) By subsection (1) of section 4 of the Charities (Land Acquisition) Ordinance, it is provided. inter alia, that the Governor on application may grant a licence for the acquisition and holding of land by any charity or for any charitable purpose:

(ii) By subsection (2) of that section, it is provided that any such licence shall be in the form prescribed in the Second Schedule to that Ordinance or as near thereto as circumstances admit:

(i) The Governor is now desirous that the power exercisable by him under subsection (1) of that section should be signified and authenticated in any such licence by the person for the time being holding the office of Assistant Registrar General in charge of the Land Office:

NOW THEREFORE, în exercise of the powers conferred by section 63 of the Interpretation and General Clauses Ordinance, His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to depute the person for the time being holding the office of Assistant Registrar General in charge of the Land Öffice to signify under subsection (2) of section 4 of the Charities (Land Acquisition) Ordinance. the exercise of the power conferred on the Governor by sub- section (1) of that section and to authenticate by the signature of such officer any licence granted under that subsection.
