CENSUS ORDINANCE. (Chapter 316).

CENSUS ORDER 1970.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Census Ordinance, the Governor in Council has made the follow- ing order-

1. This order may be cited as the Census Order 1970.

2. A pilot marine census shall be taken at 2 a.m. on the 2nd day of February 1970 of the population dwelling afloat in small craft which are, at such time, within the limits of the following places-

(a) Aberdeen Harbour:

(b) Castle Peak Harbour;

(c) Yau Ma Tei Typhoon Shelter.

3.

The purposes of the said consus are-

(a) to obtain by sample an estimate of the population dwell- ing afloat in small craft based upon the places specified in paragraph 2: and

(b) to test the organization for the taking

the Census Ordinance.
