An Ordinance to amend further the Mining Ordinance.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and

consent of the Legislative Council thereof.

Bonnefedrnani,

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Mining (Amendment) Short die and Ordinance 1969, and shall come into operation on a day to be appointed by the Governor by notice in the Gazette.

2. Section 2 of the principal Ordinance is amended by deleting the definition of "mineral" and substituting the following-

“mineral" includes —

(a) metalliferous ores and other substances in their natural state which are obtainable only by mining or in the course of prospecting operations;

(b) metalliferous ores and other substances in their

natural state mined or obtained in the course of prospecting operations:
