3. The principal Ordinance is amended by adding after section 52 the following new sections-

(2) A person to whom a perteit has been granted under subsection (1) shall pay such fees as may be prescribed for the occupation of the land.

(3) A permit granted under subsection (1) shall be subject to such conditions as may be specified in

(4) A permit granted under subsection (1) may be cancelled by the competent authority at any time, whether or not any condition under which it is issued has been contravened and shall be deemed to be cancelled immediately upon the termination of the tenancy or the revocation of the occupation permit of the person to whom the permit was granted.

Emergency 52B. (1) If, in the opinion of a competent closure of

authority, any building in any resettlement estate, promises in resettlement resettlement factory area, cottage resettlement area, Class I area or Class 11 area is or is likely to become dangerous by reason of fire, wind, rain or any other cause, the competent authority may by order declare the building to be dangerous,

(2) On the making of an order under subsection (1)-

(a) every tenancy of the building created in accordance with section 27 shall terminate forthwith;

(b) every occupation permit that has been granted by a competent authority in respect of the building or such part thereof in accordance with section 43 shall be deemed to be revoked forthwith;

(c) the competent authority may revoke any licence granted under section 500 in respect

of the land on which the building is con- structed.

(3) Where an order has been made under sub- section (1)—

(a) every person in the building shall quit forth- with the same when required to do so by an authorized officer; and

(b) any authorized officer may evict any person who fails to quit forthwith the building when required to do so by an authorized officer. (4) In the exercise of his powers under subsection (3) an authorized officer, with such assistance of police officers as he considers necessary, may use such force as is reasonably necessary to evict any person who fails to quit the building when required to do so by an authorized officer.",

Section $4 of the principal Ordinance is amended by deleting paragraph (b) of subsection (1) and substituting therefor the following-

**(b) take possession of any property-

(i) which appears to him to have been abandoned in any public place in a resettlement estate, resettle. ment factory area, cottage resettlement area, Class I area or Class II area; or

(ii) which has been placed in or on or affixed to any premises in any resettlement estate, resettlement factory area, cottage resettlement area, Class 1 area or Class II area which are the subject of a tenancy, occupation permit or licence under this Ordinance. in contravention of any condition of any such tenancy, occupation permit or licence; or

(ii) which obstructs the competent authority in the proper maintenance of any public place in any resettlement estate, resettlement factory area, cottage resettlement area, Class I area or Class II area.".

5. The Second Schedule to the principal Ordinance is amended by adding the following below the heading "COTTAGE RESETTLEMENT AREAS.”—

"Fo Tan (RFSK)".
