An Ordinance to amend further the Magistrates Ordinance.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and

consent of the Legislative Council thereof.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Magistrates Short uitle.

(Amendment) Ordinance 1968.

2. Section 21 of the principal Ordinance is amended by-

(a) deleting "before a magistrate to testify as aforesaid." in

subsection (2) and substituting the following-

"before a magistrate-

(a) to testify as aforesaid, unless the com- plaint or information has been dismissed: and

(b) to show cause why he should not be punished under subsection (5) for his refusal or neglect so to appear.";
