6. Regulation 12 of the principal regulations is amended by deleting "paragraph (1) or (2)" and substituting therefor the following-

"paragraph (1), (2) or (4)".

EMERGENCY REGULATIONS ORDINANCE. (Chapter 241).

EMERGENCY (PREVENTION OF INTIMIDATION) REGULATIONS 1967 (REVOCATION) ORDER 1967.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 2 of the Emergency Regulations Ordinance, the Governor in Council has made the following order-

1. This order may be cited as the Emergency (Prevention of Intimidation) Regulations 1967 (Revocation) Order 1967.

2. The Emergency (Prevention of Intimidation) Regulations 1967 are revoked.

Explanatory Note.

(This Note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general purport).

Regulation 2 inserts into regulation 2 of the principal regulations a definition of "visitor" for the purpose of clearer identification of person entitled to the benefits provided for in the regulations. Regulations 3 and 4(a) make amendments of regulations 5 and 7(1) respectively of the prin- cipal regulations consequential upon the amendment effected by regulation 2.

Regulation 4(8) amends regulation 703) of the principal regulations 10 provide that an international circulation permit may be granted for a period not exceeding one year from the date on which the motor vehicle was last brought in Hong Kong.

Regulation $ provides that the holder of an international circulation permit shall surrender such permit to a registration authority in specified circumstances.

This order revokes the Emergency (Prevention of Jutimidation) Regulations 1967 in consequence of the incorporation of the substance of the Regulations in the Public Order Ordinauce 1967.
