In accordance with clause 1(3) of the Hong Kong Additional Instructions 1967, I hereby appoint the 17th day of November 1967 as the date upon which the said Additional Instructions shall come into effect.

Explanatory Note.

(This Note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general purport).

This order Ilala in the Schedules all current pensionable posts together with the dates from which pensionability first attached to them. The posts are listed according to those dates and not in order of seniority. The Pensionable Offices Order is cancelled but this cancellation does not affect the pensionability of persons, if any, who held offices declared as pensionable under that order for so long as they continue in these offices. even though such offices are not declared pensionable in the new order.
