UNIVERSITY ORDINANCE.

(Chapter 1053),

STATUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY (AMENDMENT) STATUTES 1967,

In exercise of the powers conferred by subsection (2) of section 13 of the University Ordinance, the Acting Chancellor of the University of Hong Kong has made the following statutes-

1. These statutes may be cited as the Statutes of the University (Amendment) Statutes 1967.

2. Statute I of the principal Statutes is amended by deleting "Institute of Oriental Studies”,

3. Paragraph 1 of Statute III of the principal Statutes is amended-

(a) by inserting the following after sub-paragraph ()- "(ff) Bachelor of Social Sciences-B.Soc.Sc.":

(b) by inserting the following after sub-paragraph (Ŋ)– "() Master of Social Sciences-M-Soc.Sc.";

(c) by inserting the following after sub-paragraph (0)—–

"(oo) Doctor of Letters-D.Litt. (000) Doctor of Social Sciences-D.Soc.Sc."; and

(d) by inserting the following after sub-paragraph (s)-

"(1) Doctor of Social Sciences honoris causa-

D.Soc.Sc. honoris causa.”.

4. Paragraph 1 of Statute IV of the principal Statutes is amended by inserting the following in sub-paragraph () after "attached Halls"-

"and the masters of Colleges".

Statute XI of the principal Statutes is amended-

(c) in paragraph t. by deleting "Tutors and the Denton-

strators" and substituting the following—

"Staff Tutors in the Department of Extra-mural Studies"; and
