Explanatory Note.

(This More la not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general purport).

These regulations amend section 124 of the Public Health and Urban Services Ordinance. For the purposes of clarity subsection (1) thereof is deleted and a new subsection substituted therefor.

The new subsection provides for the removal of human remains from A martuary by a person entitled to affect the disposal thereof within forty-eight hours after he has made a claim to the possession of them. After this time the right to effect the disposal of the human remains will vest in the Authority within the meaning of the Public Health und Urban Services Ordinance.

In exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 43 of the Interpretation and General Clauses Ordinance, the Officer administering the Government hereby specifies the public office mentioned in the first column of the Schedule hereto for the purpose of the particular Ordinance (Section or Schedule thereof) mentioned opposite such public office in the second columa of the Schedule bereto.
