(This Note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general purport),
These regulations amend the Second Schedule to the principal regulations for the purpose of fixing the rents payable for certain premises in resettlement estates.
2. Regulation 2 fixes the rent payable in respect of Grade E special type domestic room accommodation in Mark IV Blocks in the New Terri- tories, other than New Kowloon. Rent for such premises in Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and New Kowloon has been provided for.
3. Paragraphs (a) and (b) of regulation 3 fx the rents payable for Intermediate Shops in Mark IV Blocks
4. Paragraph (c) of regulation 3 fixes the rents payable in respect of premises in a new class of free-standing building recently introduced into resettlement estates and intended to be let as commercial and shop premises only.

LEGAL AID ORDINANCE 1966. (No, 36 of 1966).
LEGAL AID (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 1967.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 28 of the Legal Aid Ordinance 1966, the Governor in Council has made the following regulations-
1. These regulations may be cited as the Legal Aid (Amendment) Regulations 1967 and shall come into operation on the commencement of the Legal Aid (Amendment) Ordinance 1967.

Regulation 12 of the principal regulations is amended by adding the following new paragraph-
"(11) The Direolor may at any time, while a certificate is in force, pay to the aided person's solicitor such aums as the Director may approve for disbursements to be made by the solicitor in respect of the proceedings to which the cer- tificate relates. Where such approval is obtained, no ques- tion shall be raised on taxation as between solicitor and client as to the propriety of any disbursements made in accordance with such approval.",
3. Regulation 13 of the principal regulations is amended in paragraph (2) by inserting after "and" the following-

"the aided person's solicitor”,
Regulation 14 of the principal regulations is amended- (a) by deleting paragraph (1):
(6) in paragraph (5) by deleting "this regulation" and sub-
stituting the following-
"any provision of the Ordinance or of these regula- tions":
(e) in paragraph (5) by adding at the end the following
"or, if the court so directs, to the court or some other person”.
