41. Carriage by Sea under Bills of Lading Rules (Vol VIII, P. 278)

Article I, rule 2

Rule 2 of Article 1 is amended by the deletion of the definition "ship" and the substitution therefor of the following-

(14 of 1958).

"ship" means any vessel used for the carriage of goods by sea except- (*) a junk as defined in section 2 of the Merchant Shipping Ordinance; or

(b) a launch as defined in section

93 of that Ordinance:".

First Schedule

By-law 14 is amended by the deletion of the words and full stop "five hundred dollars or imprisonment for three months." and the substination therefor of the words and full stop "one thousand dollars.".

The First Schedule is amended by the deletion of paragraph (u) and the sub- stitution therefor of the following-

"(i) mental disorder for which

applicant for the_licenox or, 93 the case may be, the holder of the licence is liable to be detained under the Mental Health Ordin- ance or is receiving treatment a es in-patient in a mental hospital within the meaning of that Ordio- ance:

(ii) severe subnormality as a result of which a committee of the person or of the estate of the applicant for the licence or, as the case may be, the bolder of the licence, is appointed under the Mental Health Ordinance;"'.
