Note-Penalty provisions have been inserted where appropriate throughout the regulations In replacement of the penalties prescribed by s. 37(3) of the Merchant Shipping Ordinanc 1899, subject to the maximum penalty being increased from a fine of $500 to a fine of $4,000 and six months imprisonment in certain cases.
