The following fees shall be payable in respect of-

1. Anchorage dues→

For a ship lying at anchor, per 100 tons (registered) or part thereof, per day-

(a) whilst lying in the harbour limits of the Port

of Victoria

Colony (Note: The fear specified in sub-paragraphs (a) and (b) are payable subject to the exemptions specified in regulation 6 of the Merchant Shipping (Control of Ports) Regulations 1953),

2. Buoy dues-

For each day or part of a day that a buoy is occupied or reserved--

(2) In the event of a candidate for the examination for any certificate of competency failing in the sight tests, the fee of $5.00 for the sight test examination will be deducted and the balance of the fee refunded. la no other circumstances will any fee be refunded. (3) Examinations for Extra Master, Extra First Class Engineer; Master of a home-trade passenger ship: Mate to a bome-trade passen- ger ship are conducted by arrangement on behalf of the Ministry of Transport, London, and the fees to be paid shall be such fees as the Minister from time to time shall deter- mine. The fees will be payable in Hong Kong for the account of the Ministry of Transport.

6. Fee for any copy of a certificate issued under this

Note: (1) A buoy may be reserved up to a maximum

of 48 hours in advance of a vessel's estimated time of arrival.

(2) Where in the opinion of the Director of Marino it is essential because of the length or draft of a particular ship that adjacent boays be left vacant, il shall be lawful for the owner, agent or master of the ship 10 be charged the hire rate appropriate for each buoy so left vacant.
