4. A licence to operate, possess, sell, manufacture or otherwise deal in, any irradiating apparatus shall be in Form 2 of the First Schedule.

5. The licence fees payable to the Board in accordance with the provisions of the Ordinance shall be the fees prescribed in the Second Schedule and shall be payable twelve monthly.

6. (1) Every licensee shall cause to be exhibited in a conspicuous exhibited by place in any premises in which any irradiating apparatus is situated the

(2) Any licensee who fails to comply with any of the provisions of paragraph (1) shall be guilty of an offence and be liable on summary conviction to a fine of two thousand dollars.

7. (1) Every licensee shall within seven days after the removal of any irradiating apparatus from the address at which it is situated according to the particulars stated in the licence relating to such ap- paratus, report in writing to the Board the address to which such irradiating apparatus has been removed, and in the case of the sale or other disposal of such irradiating apparatus, the name and address of the purchaser, or the particulars relating to such other disposal, as the case may be:

Provided that nothing in this paragraph shall be construed to prevent the temporary removal from the address stated in the licence relating thereto of any portable or mobile irradiating apparatus incidental to its operation as such.

(2) Upon a report being made to the Board in accordance with the provisions of paragraph (1), the licensee, if so required by the Board. shall forward the licence relating to such apparatus to the Board, either for cancellation, substitution or amendment by the Board, as may be appropriate.

(3) Any licensee who fails to comply with any of the provisions of paragraph (1) shall be guilty of an offence and be liable on summary conviction to a fine of five thousand dollars; and any licensee who fails to comply with any requirement of the Board made under paragraph (2) shall be guilty of an offence and be liable on summary conviction to a fine of two thousand dollars.

PART III

HEALTH.

8. (1) No employer shall employ any person in any radiation work who...on

(a) is under the age of eighteen years; or

(b) has not, within the period of four months immediately preced- ing his first employment by such employer in such work or process, undergone a medical examination by the panel, includ- ing blood examination and the taking of relevant medical and occupational histories and has been certified by the Board fit for such employment.

(2) Any person may apply in writing to the Board for medical sxamination by the panel for the purpose of complying with the require- ments of sub-paragraph (5) of paragraph (1) and, upon receipt of the application, the Board shall direct the panel to carry out, free of charge, such examination as soon as may be, but in any event not exceeding fourteen days, after receipt of the application and shall within ten days after the examination supply to the applicant two copies of a certificate certifying the date upon which the examination took place and whether the applicant was found to be fit or unfit, as the case may be, for employment in radiation work.

(3) Every application made under paragraph (2) shall be accom→ panied by three copies of a recent photograph of the applicant.

(4) For the purpose of paragraph (1) of this regulation, the expres- aion "first employment" includes re-employment in radiation work following a cessation of such employment for a period exceeding four- teen months.

(5) Any employer who contravenes any of the provisions of para- graph (1) shall be guilty of an offence and be liable on summary convic- tion to a fine of five thousand dollars.

9. (2) Notwithstanding anything contained in paragraph (1), the Board may require, by notice in writing served upon the employer of any person employed in radiation work, that such person shall undergo medical examination by the panel, including blood examination at such time or at such lesser intervals than those specified in paragraph (1) as the Board, having regard to the circumstances of the case, may consider expedient to safeguard the health of such person; and if any such person fails to submit to examination or, after examination, is certified by the Board to be unfit for employment in radiation work, such employer shall forthwith, upon receipt of notice in writing to that effect from the Board, cease to employ such person in radiation work.
