Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows-

PART I.

PRELIMINARY.

1. (1) This Ordinance may be cited as the Banking Ordinance, Short tide 1964.

(2) This Ordinance shall not come into operation unless and until Her Majesty's pleasure has been signified thereupon and thereafter it shall come into operation on such day as the Governor may by Procla- mation appoint.
